New York City, New York CCN Center

HISTORY St. Paul's Chapel (Parish of Trinity Church) became a CCN-NA center on September 11, 2005.

ACTIVITIES Since the events of September 11th 2001, St. Paul’s Chapel has played a crucial and unique role in the ensuing work of spiritual healing and reconciliation for both the residents of New York, and for the nearly one million people from around the world who visit us each year. In addition to partnering with organizations such as The Coalition of Religious Leaders and The Interfaith Assembly for Housing Justice and hosting ecumenical events around the theme of reconciliation throughout the year, the current outreach ministries include:

- “Unwavering Spirit: Hope and Healing at Ground Zero” : an interactive memorial exhibit honoring the church’s extraordinary, eight-month volunteer relief effort.

- “Prayers for Peace”: a brief daily service in which we honor all victims of war and terrorism throughout the world

- “Wednesday Mass for Peace and Healing”: a weekly Eucharist that ends with an Anointing with Holy Oil for the healing of the body, mind and spirit.

- “Spiritual Awakenings”: an adult education series focused on theological, spiritual and literary expressions of reconciliation and forgiveness.
