Denver, Colorado CCN Center

HISTORY: The group in Denver was activated by the Very Rev. Charles Kiblinger when he became Dean of St. John's Cathedral in 1991.  He was then President of CCN-USA and was instrumental in planning several major CCN trips to Europe and Ireland. Upon his leaving the Rev. Henry Jesse (current CCN Board member) became our spiritual leader along with Jan Mortensen and Janet Thompson as auxiliary leaders (both former members of the CCN Board) . The Denver Branch, located at St. John's Cathedral, hopes to be  presented a Cross of Nails Center.

ACTIVITIES:
Meetings:
On the third Thursday of each month, from 6 to 7pm, St. John’s Cathedral high school and college-age youth meet as an international chapter of CCN.  These young people are involved in a community where we learn to be open to the Spirit of God. We learn to be receptive and non-judgmental and foster these values in our daily lives.

Projects/Events: The Denver Branch of CCN sent a youth group from St. John's Cathedral to the International Cross of Nails Youth conference in Germany in July, 2002.   Click here for more details. On November 11, 2001, the regular group and the youth group had a joint meeting exploring  and reconciling violence.

The Rev. Henry Jesse presented a talk on Muslins at the Kanuga Conference in December, 2002.  He has presented this talk also with the Denver group in order to promote better understanding between all people of the world.
