Cincinnati, Ohio CCN Center

HISTORY:  The Christ Church Cathedral Cross of Nails Center in Cincinnati was designated in 1975 during a visit by Provost Williams.

MISSION STATEMENT:  To be a community of caring Christians:  rich and poor, young and old, of every race. Worshiping together, we will seek God's love and dare to follow wherever God leads us. Giving of ourselves and our resources, we will strive to care for one another and the world beyond Christ Church Cathedral.

ACTIVITIES of the Reconciliation Ministry

1.  The Committee on the Cathedral and the City -- racial reconciliation within the city and congregation (ongoing).

2.  Sponsorship of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center .

3.  Six Foyer Groups (ongoing).

4.  Hosting A.R.I.A. Group -- the mediation effort for a federal lawsuit on racial profiling (until May 2002).

5.  Initial relationship with Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship.
